Amethyst crystals have to
be one of the most glamorous gemstones that I use in my
vases, Certainly they are one of my favorites, even though
they can be very problematic to use. I believe that black
or neutral gray colours of stone best compliment purple
amethyst, So I generally use amethyst crystals in a dense
black slate from South Africa or the silvery blue-gray
stone from the west coast of Canada. Very occasionally
some purple elements in a multi-colored slate from India
convince me to include some amethyst crystals in a super
colorful vase.
