These vases with real emeralds are particularly suitable for a fifty fifth wedding anniversary gift, emeralds being the traditional gemstone to mark this momentous occasion.  


Emerald Cast in Stone Vases are one of the few gift items made using genuine natural emerald. The exposed aggregate  accent stones in these vases is comprised of rough uncut emeralds from Brazil.


Every vase has my initials etched into the stone and contains an insert bearing my signature verifying that the emeralds are genuine.


Emeralds in a classic "neutral toned* slate is one of my favorite stone-gemstone combinations for my vases.  I expose the subtle variations in colour hidden in the layers of stone, using the gentle tones of the slate to enhance the delicately glowing green of the emeralds. The raw, uncut and unpolished emeralds contrast textually with the silky smooth slate.

   These vases are sturdy and stable and their textures are enjoyable even to the sight impaired.

 Cork pads on the base protect furniture.

The vases are both waterproof and watertight. They can be washed without problem. The glass liner ensures that no water ever seeps onto furniture.

 

Emeralds are of course precious gemstones that are costly even in the rough, uncut form that I use in my vases. Consequently the vases with emeralds are generally somewhat more expensive for their size than some of my other variations. I try to make a variety of sizes with varying amounts of emeralds.
